Stinky Water
Aeration
Stinky water "rotten egg smell" is caused from Hydrogen Sulfide and sulfur bacteria in the earths formation.

Hydrogen sulfide gas can result from a number of different sources.  It can occur naturally in groundwater. It can be produced by certain
 "sulfur bacteria" in the groundwater.
In rare instances, it can result from pollution. There are several ways to rid your water of this pesky smell.

         Aeration process reduces sulfur gas.

The aeration process is sometimes not enough. When this occurs you may need a chemical pump (chlorinator) to remove the sulfur bacteria, and a carbon filter to remove the chlorine.

With the aerator system you must also have  an additional
1/2 HP.pump, pressure switch and a pressure tank. This brings on more components to maintenance and replace.
Sulfur Blocker
The sulfur blocker system provides a simple, effective solution requiring no chemicals or salt for regeneration.

The blend of media's used effectively remove sulfur, hydrogen sulfide gas, iron, heavy metals and other taste affecting contaminates. The media bed also reduces turbidity in your water and has properties which inhibit bacteria growth.
The sulfur blocker is a single tank solution, taking up much less space than the unsightly contact or aerator tank solutions. Also, being a closed system, it does not have the unsanitary and algae growth problems that come with open aerator systems.
